Where can I find a definitive list of allowed/disallowed foods on the Paleo diet?

I know vaugely which foods are allowed but would like some more information of how to put it into practice and how it relates to more uncommon foods such as xylitol or agave as sweeteners, or quinoa and amaranth (i guess not)? How about sweet potatoes (they can be eaten raw, which white pots cannot). Cashews (officially a legume - but do they have antinutrients typical of legumes? They can be eaten raw. Aren't pistachios legumes? What's wrong with peanuts? Are seeds okay, don't they have lectins? Is there a full list or faq anywhere, or what is the best book to get before starting the diet?
