Will my flight take off if its thunderstorming?

Today is June 16 2011. I have flight scheduled for 5:40 tonight. In Virgina Beach Virgina (USA). They are predicting thunderstorms. Some people say tered others dont. I am worried my flight will.be cancelled. I really need amswers bcuz I really need to go home tonight. Im flying to CVG which is the airport in Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky. Will my flight be cancelled or delayed? If so for how long?
