How to find a good dentist?!!?

No my problem isn't that easy, I am an uninsured student who has Medi-Cal. I received the list that takes Medi-Cal but how do I know which dentist is the best? I tried yelp and several others and no luck, I even went to a few also no luck. I live in SF California and in dire need of a dentist. :(
