Is it ok to fold a bra in half when putting it away? or is it better to lat it flat?

I heard that laying a bra flat is the best way to keep it, but at times I don't have enough room to do so, so sometimes I store it folded in half with one cup folded into another. Which way is better, and can I fold it in half with one cup folded into the other? I don't know....
